Jazz Band

Join the Coronado Jazz Band! This ensemble is offered every Spring semester and meets during zero hour (before school). The Jazz Band is made up the following instrumentation: Saxophones (Alto, Tenor, Bari), Trombones, Trumpets, Drumset, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Piano, and Auxillary Percussion.

In the Coronado Jazz Band, students will explore the vibrant world of jazz music! This engaging course offers a unique opportunity to play a diverse repertoire, ranging from the upbeat rhythms of swing jazz, to the infectious grooves of Latin, and even the energetic vibes of rock. Students will collaborate with their peers, honing their improvisation skills and learning to express themselves through music in a supportive environment. Whether you’re an experienced musician or just starting out, this class is designed to inspire creativity and foster a love for jazz. Come be part of an exciting musical journey that celebrates the rich history and evolution of jazz!
